Privacy Policy

Account Information: When you register, we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials (or tokens from third-party sign-in providers such as Google, Facebook, or Apple).

Phone Number: We collect your mobile phone number to verify your account with a one-time SMS code and to send booking-related SMS notifications. SMS verification and booking notifications are currently available for Canadian mobile numbers only.

Listing & Booking Data: Item details (title, description, photos, price), booking information (selected time slots, confirmation status), and booking outcomes (completed, cancelled).

Usage Data: Log data (IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited), interaction data (features used, buttons clicked), and performance metrics to improve the Platform.

Location Data: Meetup locations you set for listings. Any future location-based features will always require your explicit consent.

Operate & Provide the Service: Facilitate listing creation, booking, scheduling, and notifications (SMS reminders sent before meetups, with timing configurable by the seller).

Communicate With You: Send transactional notifications via SMS (booking confirmations, cancellations, waitlist promotions, pre-meetup reminders) and via email for account-related updates. In future versions, a mobile app with in-app push notifications will be offered, and you will be able to choose your preferred notification channel in Settings. We do not send marketing messages without your opt-in consent.

Safety & Fraud Prevention: Detect and prevent fraudulent activity, enforce our Terms of Service, and protect the security of all users.

Improve the Platform: Analyze aggregated, anonymized usage data to improve features, fix bugs, and develop new functionality.

With Other Users: When you enter a booking, your counterpart can see your display name and listing details. We never share your email, phone number, or other personal details with other users.

For Legal Reasons: We may disclose information to comply with applicable law, legal process, or government requests; to enforce our Terms; or to protect the rights, safety, or property of the Platform, our users, or the public.

WE DO NOT SELL YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION. DealLock AI has never sold user data and has no plans to do so.

Active Accounts: We retain your data for as long as your account remains active and as needed to provide our services.

Account Deletion: When you delete your account, your personal data is permanently removed from our systems immediately. Some data may be retained only if required by law.

Access & Portability: You can request a copy of all personal data we hold about you in a machine-readable format.

Correction: You can update your account information at any time through your account settings, or request corrections by contacting us.

Deletion: You can delete your account at any time. See Section 6 for step-by-step instructions. Deletion triggers removal of your personal data as described in our Data Retention section.

Opt-Out: You can opt out of non-essential communications at any time. Transactional notifications (booking confirmations, cancellations, waitlist promotions, pre-meetup reminders) are required for the service to function and cannot be disabled while your account is active. When the mobile app is available, you will be able to switch the delivery channel for these notifications between SMS and in-app push in Settings.

California Residents (CCPA): You have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, and opt out of any sale of personal information (though we do not sell data). We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at legal@deallockai.com. We will respond within 30 days.

You can delete your DealLock AI account at any time from Settings → Security → Delete account. You will be asked to type "DELETE" to confirm. Once confirmed, your account and all associated personal data (profile, preferences, listings, and bookings) are permanently removed from our systems immediately.

If you cannot access your account, email us at legal@deallockai.com from the email address associated with your account, with the subject "Delete my account". We will verify your identity and process the deletion as soon as practicable.

Essential Cookies: Required for authentication, session management, and security. These cannot be disabled.

Analytics: We use privacy-focused analytics to understand how the Platform is used. This data is aggregated and cannot identify individual users.

No Third-Party Ad Tracking: We do not use third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels. We do not participate in ad networks or retargeting programs.

Do Not Track: We respect Do Not Track (DNT) browser signals. When DNT is enabled, we disable all non-essential analytics.

Encryption: All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest. Database connections use encrypted channels.

Access Control: Access to user data is limited to authorized personnel and follows the principle of least privilege. Administrative credentials are rotated regularly.

Incident Response: In the event of a data breach, we will notify affected users without undue delay, as required by applicable law.

Children's Privacy: DealLock AI is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we learn that we have collected data from a user under 18, we will delete it promptly.

Policy Changes: We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 30 days before taking effect. The "Effective" date at the top of this page indicates the latest revision.
